Centre Director Tina Dallorzo commented, “We are really pleased to announce such a positive start to the year for Churchill Square. Shoppers looking for a bargain in the sales and with Christmas gift cards to spend helped to contribute to strong sales for our retailers.”
Levi’s Store area manager Chris Ashley said,
“We have had an excellent Christmas in our Brighton Levis store even though the positioning of Christmas day in the week worked against us with the kids breaking up so late. We started our sale 4 days later than last year and still achieved a December increase of 10% against last years turnover.”
Lakeland’s Store in Churchill Square enjoyed its first Christmas in Brighton having opened its doors in July 2012. The Brighton store has become one of Lakeland’s most sucessful store openings in recent years.
Lakeland’s Brighton store manager Nikki Harvey said,
‘We’ve enjoyed a fantastic 5 months here in Brighton, including our first Christmas and it’s been wonderful to have received such a warm welcome. Our customers certainly seem to have enjoyed a home-baked Christmas this year with products such as our Cake Pop Maker and icing kits selling like hot cakes. In the lead up to Christmas, demand was so great for our baking ranges, products such as our Fairy Tale Cottage Mould completely sold out. We’re very much looking forward to continuing to welcome our customers to the store throughout 2013.’
The Lego Store Manager, Sam Ellis said,
“We had a fantastic Christmas in our new location inside Churchill Square Shopping Centre, that surpassed all expectations. The success was clear in the response from our customers about our new home and in terms of our sales. Bring on 2013!”
